Digital Identity Wallet

Verify with a wallet, not a scan.

Accept a signed credential from a user's EU Digital Identity Wallet over OID4VP. High assurance, minimal disclosure, and a graceful fallback to document + selfie.

OID4VP

Standards-based presentation

mdoc

ISO mDL / EUDI PID credentials

No scan

No document photo, no selfie

Capabilities

What's in the box.

Production-ready building blocks. Wire them up the way your team needs.

Wallet-native verification

Users prove who they are by presenting a credential from their national Digital Identity Wallet. No document capture, no selfie, no manual review.

Cryptographically verified

Every presentation is a signed mdoc. We verify the issuer signature and device binding server-side, so a valid response is proof, not a probability.

Minimal disclosure

Request only the claims you need (an over-18 attestation via the Age Verification Profile, or specific PID fields) and nothing more is disclosed.

One flow, graceful fallback

Offer wallet verification first and fall back to document + selfie when a user has no wallet: same hosted session, same webhook, same verdict.

How it works

Plug it in. Ship in days.

01

Request

Your session requests a presentation: proof of age, or specific identity claims.

02

Present

The user approves the request in their Digital Identity Wallet on their phone.

03

Verify

We verify the mdoc issuer signature and session binding, then disclose the requested claims.

04

Decide

Your endpoint receives a signed outcome on the same webhook as every other check.

Use cases

Built for teams that move.

  • Age-restricted commerce and content in the EU
  • High-assurance onboarding where a wallet is available
  • Reusable identity for returning customers
  • Public-sector and regulated services
  • Reducing document-capture drop-off

FAQ

Common questions.

Which wallets do you support?

We verify presentations that follow the EU Digital Identity Wallet profiles (OID4VP with ISO mdoc), including the Age Verification Profile and PID credential. Coverage expands as national wallets go live. Tell us your target markets and we will confirm what is supported today.

Do users still need to scan a document?

No. When a user verifies with their wallet, there is no document photo or selfie. The wallet presents a credential that was already verified at issuance. Document + selfie remains available as a fallback for users without a wallet.

What do we receive back?

Only the claims you requested (for example a boolean over-18 attestation, or specific PID fields), along with a signed outcome you can store as evidence.
